Stone Meadow started in April 2009.  Our partners have over 50 years combined experience in health insurance consulting. In just five years, Stone Meadow has expanded to become an organization with multiple strategic partnerships, operating in five states with over 120 business clients who trust us with their employees health and wellness. In addition, a growing practice assisting over 300 individual clients. 

Our immediate objective was to establish a strong reputation for providing world-class customer service and achieve 90%+ client retention. We are very happy to say that we have achieved this goal.

Our principals started a boutique firm in order to better serve clients through customized consulting advice, and to build a model that focuses on clients’ needs rather than the traditional brokerage model. As a result, we are able to run much leaner and leverage the best minds to achieve an end result: lower costs and improved efficiencies.

Brian Drummond - Benefit Design/Analysis

Brian Drummond assists employers in making difficult benefits decisions through education.  As a trusted advisor, he works to understand a company's needs, researches the best solutions and presents the most responsible alternatives to his clients.   

Brian believes that wellness and prevention play an essential role in every well-run employee benefits program.  He works hand in hand with employers and carriers to make sure the needs of diverse employee groups are met.  His service oriented, practical approach to employee benefits has made Brian a trusted consultant and advisor to groups, small and large.


Brian holds a Bachelors degree from Brigham Young University.  He is married to Lindsay Lowe Drummond and lives in Northern California with their 3 children.  In his free time Brian enjoys sports, food and travel. 

Jason T. Andrew - Benefit Design/Analysis

In addition to working day to day with clients, Jason currently speaks to business and professional groups on health reform and wellness programs, is writing a book on employee benefits for small businesses and serves on the SVAHU (Silicon Valley Association of Health Underwriters) Board of Directors.

In his spare time he spends enjoys being with his wife of 17 years, Wendy, and their three boys; Wesley (11), Thomas (9) and Nathan (7). He enjoys running, hiking, swimming and anything outdoors. He is a self-professed geek who loves any new technology.

Past experience:

Jason brings considerable experience and skill in the field of employee benefits with over 15 years of marketing and consulting expertise. In Jason’s previous role with LHI (Lawson-Hawks Insurance Associates) he focused his consulting work on non-profits, startups and public entity clients. He has worked as the lead consultant in negotiating, designing, implementing and communicating benefit plans to over 30 public entities and union clients. In addition, he also designed a health insurance pool that enabled over 16 safety bargaining units to pull out of CalPERS, the nation's 3rd largest insurance broker. 

Between 2005-2006 Jason’s work resulted in helping the employee benefits division at LHI to double in size, making it the fastest growing division at Lawson-Hawks. Between 2007-2008 Jason began running the benefits division at Lawson-Hawks. In April of 2009 he joined together with a seasoned Silicon Valley Entrepreneur, Thomas Alexander, to launch Stone Meadow Benefits & Insurance Associates. 

Jason has been a proponent and early adopter of the consumer driven health care market. He has in-depth knowledge of alternative strategies including HRA (health reimbursement arrangements) HSA (health savings accounts) and other progressive solutions. Jason works with clients, both individual and group, from in all industries. However, his area of focus is small to medium businesses with 2-100 employees. Jason’s considerable experience in the health care solutions, planning and implementation arenas facilitates objective client consultation and the installation of unique and esoteric employee benefits plans.

Jason holds a Bachelor's degree from Lewis & Clark University where he studied International Communications and Japanese.  


Lisa Lux - Operations Manager

Lisa has been working in the medical industry for over 10 years and enjoys assisting clients with their healthcare needs. Prior to working at Stone Meadow Benefits, she was the Office Manager at a physical therapy clinic in the South Bay. Lisa implemented the clinic’s front office and billing procedures that directly resulted in improved customer relations and regulatory compliance.  She has extensive knowledge in procedure and diagnosis coding and has expertise in Medicare Billing.                                       


She was born and raised in Montana and loves going back home to visit her family and friends. She attended the University of Montana where she received a degree in Communication Studies. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband Alex and traveling.

Wendy is responsible or making sure you have a smooth transition from the time you decide on a plan until we get a group number and ID cards from your providers.
